喬托 Giotto di Bondone (1267-1337) 佛羅倫斯畫家和建築師，被公認為文藝復興初期最有天份的美術家，他的作品給予從束縛的中世紀解放出的力量。


1267 生於靠近佛羅倫斯的 Vespignano，教皇稱為「Giotto surpassed all other painters of his time」，1334 Florence 給 Giotto 大師的稱謂，並委任為城市的設計師及管理者，於1337 在著名的鐘樓進行期間死亡。
